Welcome new volunteers. Join us at Centaur Stride!We need volunteers in a variety of capacities. Experience with horses is not necessary to volunteer with us. Volunteers at Centaur Stride have opportunities to learn, to teach, and to connect with a great group of people. As a Centaur Stride volunteer, you can share your skills, hobbies, and interests, learn new things, and meet new friends. “Volunteers do not necessarily have the time; they just have the heart. Volunteers are needed in the following areas:
**All volunteers at Centaur Stride must be at least 14 years of age, independent, responsible and able to follow instructions without supervision, and willing to consent to a background check.
We are looking for volunteer mentors.Our mentors are paired with individuals with disabilities who want to volunteer but cannot do so because they are not able to work independently. Volunteer mentors work as a team with individuals with disabilities, making it possible for them to volunteer. Mentors make a significant difference in the life of a person with a disability by raising that individual’s sense of self-worth and accomplishment through their ability to volunteer at Centaur Stride.
