1. HORSEMANSHIP LESSONS:

Cost: $35/lesson
Description: Participants learn varying levels of horsemanship skills both on ground and/or riding on our
horses. This is a 1 hr session, via an integrated group lesson style, that includes horse prep, saddling,
riding and dismount time.
Note: participants with disabilities require physician release and require an evaluation prior to start of
lesson. This evaluation assessment is part of the first lesson fee to determine plan for any special needs.

2. FIELD TRIPS:

Cost: $350 (note: this fee covers up to 10 students- each additional student is $35/student)
Description: Centaur Stride is listed under 2 different B.O.C.E.S. Co-Ser reimbursements programs:

1. Visiting experts: students engage with horses, while rotating stations, in order to learn how to care
for horses, as well as how to communicate with them on the ground or while riding them.
2. Arts and education: This involves creative arts at the barn and introduction to our facility, horses,
and what we do as a nonprofit therapeutic riding facility. Interactions with the horses may be
groundwork or mounted.

Note: Teachers will need to fill out appropriate paperwork depending on which experience
requested. Both programs include components with the horses (and/or Equicizer) at varying levels and
each field trip can be customized to adjust to cognitive and physical levels and needs. Schools must
provide transportation and any lunches, adult supervision/liaison, and may vary in time pending group
size, up to maximum 2 hrs. Additional time can be arranged for additional fee.

                   Field Trip Program Forms:

Centaur stride is now listed as a Co-Ser (either Arts and education OR Visiting Experts) for school reimbursement opportunities.

and provides a responsible adult chaperone/liaison attending with the students. Students engage in a
progressive curriculum learning about horses and how interacting with horses benefits people across all
domains including physical, social, cognitive and emotional aspects, via either classroom activities,
ground horsemanship and/or progressive riding lessons.

language. (The client remains on the ground for this session; there is no riding) Group size up to 4 people.
Approximately 45 minutes.

5. GROUP EVENTS:

We can customize our lessons to create programs to meet the needs and interests of the group:
Examples: Badge work for Boy Scouts. Girl Scouts; Birthday Parties, Home school groups, Veteran’s ,
Youth groups, etc.

Prices vary per group size and time element:
• $ 35/person up to one hour for groups up to 6 people
• $ 50/person up to 2 hours for groups between 6- 12 people
• $ $75/person for groups 13-18 up to 2.5 hours
• $100/person for groups 18-24 for up to 3 hours

Groups rotate stations for mounted and non-mounted horsemanship as number of riders is limited to no
more than 6 at a time.

Programs are always changing and expanding to include integrate riders of all levels of ability, and to create new programs to address other needs identified in the community.  These needs included programs to build self-esteem and friendships, strengthen family unity, provide quality, structured after-school enrichment opportunities, and collaborate with other community programs to maximize potential.
